1st block out

Ok so heres a 1st post,

Today we started our college day by handing in our last project and then Dean our tutor sat us down to describe our next and final project, DEAD FARM.

He started by explaining the basic idea of the level we have to create which is as follows....

"An abandonned farm which hides super villian Rufus Clawe's secret underground base"

Dean also allotted 2 people as project leads My self (Adam Stockton) and the right honourable council member Kevin Bird, Kevin would be taking the reigns in terms of making sure everything runs smoothly, co-ordinating the team and setting deadlines, where as I will be Implimenting everything into the Unreal 3 engine. Dean also gave us a basic floor plan to which we HAVE to build our map, the plan dictates building shapes and location but size is down to us as a team, the plan also only dicates the above ground area of the map the secret underground base is our own design.

Once Dean had set us up with the details we then had to actually start work, so with white board pens in hand we began by drawing a plan of the over ground area on the board and working out what buildings would be used for what purpose and then figuring out the scale of our map.

After lunch we began to write up an asset list so that we could start to work out what needed to be built in max. As part of the project our resident artistic genius Lottie kujawiak was given the task of creating the villianous Rufus Clawe and will be designing the character from the ground up and we will keep the progress updated here.

Right I think that about covers everything that happened today keep posted for regular updates.
